In the year C.E. 73, war is reignited in the cosmos once again. During a meeting between Chairman Durrandal and Orb
Representative Cagalli Yula Athha, three mobile suits are stolen from the armory. ZAFT pilot Shinn Asuka and Rey
are assigned to pursue them. Engaged in battle, one of the stolen gundams, Gaia, pierced a hole in the plant and an emergency
evacuation was ordered. Shinn and Rey are forced to retreat, allowing the three mysterious pilots to flee with the stolen
gundams
Shortly after the theft, they discover that Junius 7 is mysteriously pulled off its orbit into a new one. One that will
hit and demolish the Earth. Cagalli and her bodyguard Alex Dino (Athrun Zala) are trapped on the battleship Minerva in a
deadly battle to destroy Junius before it hits earth. Athrun decides to help out with the four pilots of Minerva. Racing
against time, they manage to destroy Junius 7 before it hits Earth but deadly fragments still rain and cause chaos all over
the world.
The Naturals on Earth are enraged of the supposedly 'attack' from Zaft. Using the excuse of Junius 7, the Earth
Alliance Leader declares war on Zaft, firing nuke missles on the Plants as their first act of war. Tensions break
as the Naturals and Coordinators engage in war once again. But will the war turn out differently than last time, since Orb
has joined the Alliance...

Although I loved the return of the characters of Gundam Seed, there was really no emphasis on the main character of GSD,
Shinn Asuka. Also, many of the same graphics were used over and over again which didn't really give me a good impression.
