Its Cosmic Era 71 and war has broken out in the cosmos. Discovered by the engineer
George Glenn, humans now have the technology to genetically alter their genes creating a new race called the Coordinators.
Because of the many differences between the Naturals (Non-altered People) and the Coordinators their hate have lit the fire
of war many people dying to fuel a lost cause.
This anime starts in Heliopolis, a colony of the neutral country ORB,
a year after the war has started. Young Kira Yamato is slowly entangled in the war after he is forced to pilot a Gundam (mobile
suit) to save himself and his friends from invading ZAFT forces. He is discovered to be a Coordinator with surprising abilities
at piloting Gundams. Although he despises fighting, he has no choice but to fight in order to save his friends and the ship
that he was to stay with and protect.
How many innocent lives will be lost fueling this endless, pointless war? Millions? Thousands?
How many people will have to give up their ambitions, their dreams to fight and die in this blood-hungry war? Both sides
hate each other with a passion but in reality, they are fundamentally the same; Gundam Seed shows you how pointless war really
is by following a young man's life as he becomes entangled into the war and forced to fight his own kind, and even his
own best friend.

This series is one of by favourites by far. It's unique and original and despite the fact that there is moving robots,
so common in many animes, there's still more of an emphasis on the story and the gundams just add to the special feel of the
plot. Also, because it has such a interesting and engaging plot, its captures the audience of young and old alike and for
the kids, there is plenty of fight scenes to keep them occupied! All in all, I really liked this manga and would recommend
it to anybody who enjoys a exciting and fun-filled anime.
